FOLLOWING the runaway success of the inaugural Pacha festival in Amsterdam in May 2012, an ongoing partnership has been announced
between Pacha and the festival organisers, Art of Dance. Established in 2001 by Ivar Moens, Matthijs Hazeleger and Pelle Moens, the Dutch
company has achieved a successful reputation in the global festival production industry with their commitment to producing high quality
events that showcase a mixture of the biggest DJs in electronic music along with rising stars of the future.
The Pacha Festival concept, which will closely reflect the level of musical talent showcased during the summer residencies in Ibiza, is
expected to hit three continents in 2013 – Europe, SouthAmerica and NorthAmerica – all kicked off with another event inAmsterdam. Full
details are still under wraps, but Moens says: “We’re all very excited about translating Pacha Ibiza’s magical formula into a festival format.”
He says theArt of Dance crew have become firm friends with Pacha Ibiza’s Hugo Urgell Cobos, Mark Netto and DannyWhittle following
the launch event.
What to expect? “Pacha is known for mixing music with food, fashion, VIP and celebrity clients, which will make for a unique festival-
lifestyle-experience,” explains Moens. So alongside storming DJ line-ups, he will be serving up “delicious Spanish food, cocktail bars
and bottles of champagne, as well as beer in plastic cups”.Where do we sign up?
